TOPIC: DEATH TO SELF – A KEY TO WALKING IN THE SUPERNATURAL

QUOTE:
Walking by faith and in the Spirit is what makes your life pleasing to God.

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“Jesus replied, ‘The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.’” (John 12:23-24)

WORD FOR TODAY:
For God to increase in you, you must decrease in yourself.

MESSAGE:

Walking in the supernatural is not optional for the believer. Without it, we fall short of what God created us to be.
First service, we looked at some keys to the supernatural. Now, we focus on one crucial key: “Death to Self”.

Jesus said in (John 12:24), that a seed of wheat must fall to the ground and die before it can produce fruit. The glory hidden in that seed only comes out when it dies. In the same way, the “self” in us must die for God’s glory to be fully seen.

Pride, ego, and self-will act like a covering that blocks the Spirit from flowing freely. Many times, God is held back in people’s lives because of too much self—too much craving for attention, praise, and recognition.
If God must take center stage, you must step out of the way. The one who constantly seeks to be seen, applauded, and celebrated must die to self so God can be glorified.

Being born again means the old self dies and a new creation emerges. But many believers still carry traces of their old nature, and that hinders the Spirit’s full expression through them.
The Spirit of man is the center of the supernatural. When the outer man is broken, the spirit man is released—and when the spirit is released, nothing is impossible.

What’s inside you is more valuable than what covers you. The clothes on your body are not as important as the Spirit God placed within you. When that Spirit is free, the supernatural begins to manifest.

REMEMBER:
For God to increase in you, you must decrease in yourself.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Decide daily to die to self so your spirit man can rise.
2. Ask God to remove anything in you that resists His will.
3. Make repentance and surrender a daily practice.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION:
May the Lord grant you grace to crucify the flesh so that His Spirit can flow through you unhindered in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER:
Father, anything in me contending with Your glory, resisting Your will, or blocking Your supernatural power—crush it now. Let only You be glorified in my life in Jesus’ Name.
